Pachamama Fair Trade is a meeting platform between rural producers and urban consumers, generating social development for the producers and health, social and environmental consciousness for the urban consumers. A fair trade market that is only going to sell goods that are local, artisanal and organic, and that assures that farmers are getting a fair deal.
The forestry commission in Mexico (CONAFOR), funds thousands of small productive projects i.e. by giving capital and training to a group of low income women to set up their organic soap shop. CONAFOR is supporting Pachamama Fair Trade as platform for these products to get to market.
